1. What is the Dubai Traders Program?
The Dubai Traders Program (DTP) is an initiative announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, under the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to support the growth of Dubai-based SMEs. The program aims to encourage Emirati and non-Emirati sellers of all sizes, including new entrepreneurs, to adopt new digital channels, so they scale operations and reach new customer bases locally and regionally. It relies on key anchor partnerships with leading B2B, B2C, and specialized digital players to provide a suite of tools, incentives, and support mechanisms for sellers to get online.
2. What is the DET x Amazon Dubai Traders Program?
Under the D33 announced Dubai Traders initiative, Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET) has partnered with Amazon.ae, the leading e-commerce platform in the region, to launch an e-commerce program to support the growth of Dubai-based seller. The program aims to enable sellers in Dubai to sell online by leveraging strategic support provided by Amazon such as access to a curated and hand-held “Welcome to Amazon” package provided through Amazon’s Service Provider Network (SPN), access to workshops and webinars on the fundamental aspects of online selling, dedicated prioritized merchandising for onboarded sellers, and advertising reward credits through Amazon’s ads platform.
3. Who is eligible for the Program?
